Down Syndrome

In the United States, Down syndrome is the most common chromosomal disorder. And around the world, each year about 3,000 to 5,000 children are born with Down syndrome. Down Syndrome explains that the disease is diagnosed by clear symptoms in early life, such as the appearance and behavior of a baby. It explains that children affected by the syndrome often have problems with their senses, heart, lungs, and digestive system. It reveals that although there is no cure for Down syndrome, many treatments, educational programs, and support groups help people with the syndrome live full, rewarding lives.
