Spring break is over, and Ana is starting at a new school. Her family just moved from Sunnyside, California to nearby Scarecrow. On her first day, Ana plans to keep to herself. But her plan backfires when she sits in the wrong seat on the bus. The day keeps getting worse-until Ana finds a gift from her mom in her backpack. This good luck charm seems to turn everything around. Just when Ana thinks the charm can solve all her problems, she realizes it has a dark side too. She must find a way to get rid of it before her luck runs out.
