What is J Appleseed doing to keep me safe?

Who is J Appleseed?

In 1963, in Collingwood Ontario, John Saunders started a book business as an off shoot of his father's stationary and office equipment store. John started taking selections of books out to local schools for librarians and teachers to have a look at before placing orders. The catalyst to future successes came when John made an arrangement with a few larger publishers in Toronto, to stock quantities of titles, which he then took into schools and allowed them to keep for immediate use. The business continued to grow and by 1970 the company was known as a wholesaler with 3 sales people and 8 people inside covering close-to-home counties and Northern Ontario. Continuing to go farther and farther afield, in 1985 John made the change from being a wholesaler to being an exclusive publisher's agent.

In 1988 John started a telephone sales company in Canada with much success. From a modest start of 6 people, we now employ many people across Canada. Over the years we have broadened our relationships with publishers from around the world. Today books from the US to the UK, from Canada to Australia, and places in between, grace our preview program to bring librarians and students alike the very best books the world has to offer. This could not be done without our most valued asset, you, our customer!
